College Basketball Final Four Picks...

Vejurnae @ Rupp Arena
As some of you may know my job allows me the opportunity to visit some of the greatest and most historic Universities and sporting venues.

Last night I went to the University of Kentucky where coach John Calipari is the new coach at the helm.  The played Morehead State *giggles* and showed that even without their show stopper John Wall they could handle the business.

As I stated this blog is geared towards women who are interested or want to learn more about sports for whatever reason.  Maybe you played sports all of your life and you want to find a place to connect with other people who did as well, or maybe you know nothing about sports and you want to learn more to impress your significant other. ;-)  Right now is a good time to get familiar college basketball, the season is starting and AP has compiled their rankings.  Rankings are compiled by polling sportswriters across the nation. Each voter provides his own ranking of the top 25 teams, and the individual rankings are then combined to produce the national ranking.

Stiletto Tip:  If you feel left out when people are talking about college basketball.  Everyone thinks they are and expert and half the time they don't know wtf they are talking about!  Teams that you can USUALLY expect to be doing well are Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Louiville, Illinois, and later in the year Gonzaga, lol.

AP Top 25

 1. Kansas (55) 0-0 1,612

Jay Cutler: Is He who we thought he we was?

I checked in to my hotel in Lexington, KY last night I was pretty peeved because my TV didn't have NFL Network!  Thank goodness a friend told me I could check out the game streaming live at NFL.com.  So I turned on the computer to see my team, the Bears, losing by a margin of 4 points in the fourth quarter.  In my mind I thought, that's manageable... we can score, and win the game.  WRONG!  Interception at the 12 yard line...We can't, we can't complete a pass in the red zone to save our lives.  Jay Cutler is forcing the ball into windows that obviously are not open.  And there are lots of reasons why, the Offensive line is anemic, Jay's receiving core consists of Devin Hester, a converted cornerback turned #1 receiver, Johnny Knox, a rookie, and Earl Bennett a second year receiver.  The Bears never prepared with more experience in their receiving core and with every game the weaknesses are more evident.

BUT this doesn't let Jay off the hook.  5 Interceptions...  Not going to cut it in Chicago.  He can ask another guy with a three letter name how it feels to be the black sheep of Chicago Football.  The streets get lonely, the commentary gets louder, the boos follow you to your car, and the expletives even make it to church, lol.   So what do you guys think?  Did the Bears crown Jay Cutler?  or Was he a sound investment?
